The Meaning of Complimentary words |

|
Be sure, my new neighbor Stella didn't guess about my intentions and emotions. As far I am concerned, I couldn't sleep well and became almost absentminded till one case fast changed everything. On Sunday morning on my way home I met Stella and said 'hello' to her. But surprisingly she didn't pass by and gave me her charming smile followed by some appreciative words referring to my last photography in the local magazine. I was puzzled because I couldn't guess that she had known about my business. I thanked her heartily and we continued our ways. Nevertheless, I glow with pride when Stella lauded my job - they were really 'success words'. That moment was the one when I remembered the words of the famous philologist Dr. George Crane "Appreciative words are the most powerful force for good will on earth". This is true. Sympathetic, positive attitude towards people, never mind, good or bad, creates miracles. As a journalist, to do an effective job of building good will for myself and satisfaction for others I have to seek for much more positive words than negative ones while describing anything. My business requires treating all people, whom I meet, with positive words - I needn't share them into bad or good - they are just people. The next issue of our magazine is going to include an article about the meaning of complimentary words in people's life. I will definitely devote the whole paragraph to that marvelous girl whose name is Stella. Unfortunately, she left our place for other town and I don't know her address. But somewhere deep in my heart I hope to meet Stella - it's a small world as we know. | |
